Students have always been at the forefront of social movements. In Burma, students were some of the main forces in the 1988 democracy uprising, and recently after all the monks had been arrested it was students in high school who stepped up to lead the protests.

1) Start Organizing

2) Take Action : As students there are a lot of things you can do

-Educate Your Campus: film screening, teach-in, pass out flyers, hold a concert, etc. Find some materials below you can download to get you started

- Get a Burma resolution passed at your school! Make sure money from your school isn’t supporting Burma’s military. Download sample student resolution
